Athena: Circa 1950

This fine Swiss watch, obtained in Switzerland and relatively rare, has a handsome black dial signed Athena, and ‘Wehrmachtswerk’. The numerals are indicated by gold barrettes, and there is a large round seconds register at the six. The stainless case is in good condition, and the caseback includes markings such as ‘Antimagnetic’ and ‘Waterproof’ (despite this last marking, NO vintage watch should be regarded as waterproof!). The watch is in good running order; the case measures 44mm from lug to lug.
